DI-75B Data Acquisition Expansion Unit8-Channel, DI-5B Module Expansion Unit
Product Highlights Product Highlights
The DI-75B is an eight-channel, 5B-module expansion unit for DI-715B, DI-720, DI-722, and DI-730 instruments. Each DI-75B accepts up to eight, high performance, plug-in (DI-5B) signal conditioning modules. These modules expand the measurement capability of DI-715B, DI-720, DI-722, and DI-730 instruments to include virtually any isolated, industrial-type signal. Because DI-5B modules are identical in pin out and size, they can be mixed or matched in any combination. Choose from thermocouple, true rms, voltage, strain, frequency, process current, RTD, potentiometric, or DC transducer—whatever suits your application. Signal connections are made to the DI-75B through a removable screw terminal block. Each DI-75B channel consumes one channel from its host instrument in return for the isolated, signal-conditioned input it provides. A maximum of two DI-75B instruments may be connected to any DI-715B, DI-720, DI-722, or DI-730 instrument to get a total of 16, 5B-conditioned input channels (in addition to any remaining channels within the host instrument). The DI-75B is positioned as a lower cost alternative to the DI-500 Series. For 16 or fewer 5B channels, it offers a smaller size than desktop DI-785 Series instruments. The DI-75B provides a cost-effective growth path to isolated industrial measurements of virtually any type, and may be purchased with a supported host data acquisition instrument, or alone for an in-the-field upgrade. StackableIncluded stacking brackets allow the DI-75B to be stacked and mounted to the host DI-715B, DI-720, DI-722, or DI-730 instrument. The stacking brackets come complete with mounting hardware to make installation a snap. An optional stainless steel carrying handle is also available for convenient system handling. Built-In Process Current Shunt SocketsAllows a precision 20-ohm shunt to be placed inside the DI-75B enclosure to eliminate clutter outside the unit. "Power" and "Low Power" LED'sLED's indicate when power from the host instrument is applied and when this power is inadequate for use by the DI-75B. Flexible Power RequirementsThe DI-75B may be powered from any 9-36V DC source, allowing the unit to be powered from practically any field configuration. Ordering Information, Models, and Prices
