The following table lists standard baud rates for Serial port instruments. Baud rates may be changed using the Device Driver. Note: Some instruments use a virtual COM port even though they have an alternate connection. For example, Models DI-145, DI-149, DI-155, DI-245, DI-148U and DI-158U devices use a virtual COM port. See Virtual COM ports for more information.

*Setting a high baud rate may cause the instrument to freeze up depending on your PC resources. If your instrument freezes you must unplug the device from the PC. When the device is unplugged, the baud rate automatically reverts to the default baud rate.
