Earlier in this problem, we got the message "DLL out of range."
We have upgraded to the latest versions of Hardware Manager and Dataq Acquisition software. Windows is up to date.
Sometimes the DI718 Bx is pingable, other times not.
Sometimes cycling power on the DI718 solves the problem; sometimes we have to reboot the computer.
What do we try next? Thanks, Mark

Mark,

Locate TPDATAQ.ini in the WINDOWS directory and rename it. With TPDATAQ renamed, re-run the DI-718Bx installation program. This will create a new TPDATAQ.ini file.

Assuming that you continue to experience intermittent connection issues, there may be a problem with the Ethernet connector/board. If this is the case, we can issue a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number so that you can send the unit in for evaluation/repair.

Shawn,
Shortly after your reply above, the DI-718Bx started running flawlessly again, with no action on my part. There have been no problems in 10 months. So I think it was a hardware issue. I have been careful not to move the unit or to touch the Ethernet connector. If the problem reoccurs, I will contact you.
Thanks for your help.
