WinDaq software randomly stops recording, and only saves half a file

Have a user that I just refreshed his PC. Went to 64 bit Windows 7. Previous computer was also Windows 7 but was 32 bit. Was not able to install the software that they used originally, had to update to the latest and 64 bit. When user is recording data, there appears to be periods where it just drops. Then when the user goes to save the data, and open it in Excel, it only shows half the data. For example, if the user records for 4 hours, only 2 hours of data will show up in the file that he saved. Sometimes it's the first half of the data, sometimes it is the second half of the data. Completely stumped at this moment.

Computer is set to go to a screen saver after 15 minutes, and to sleep after 30 minutes. This did not seem to be an issue previously.

Jason,

What you're describing is highly unusual.

I'll run this by one of our software engineers and reply accordingly.

Jason,

This from the software engineer:

In Control Panel, Power Options, "Put the computer to sleep:" should be set to "Never", at least when plugged in, and the user should avoid using it on battery when running WinDaq. In Windows 7 64-bit, the default for laptops is to sleep.

Glad that we all think on the same page. That is something that I did change yesterday, right before putting this in. We did run a test last night, and that should finish in a couple of hours. Will let you know the results. Thanks in advance!
