I am curious to know if you would be interested in helping me develop a proposal to submit to the BSA?

I am a hydrogeologist and have been using various dataloggers in my job for the last 20+ years and have recently thought that it would be interesting to develop a proposal for a Data Acquisition merit badge to submit to the BSA.

I am involved with my son's local BSA troop as a merit badge counselor for a number of badges and have noticed that the BSA has been introducing new and revised merit badges all related to computers and digital technology.

I noticed that you offer a free/low cost Data Acquisition Starter Kits and for science projects and thought it would be a good fit for a recommended kit (within a merit badge pamphlet) for for the proposal.

The BSA prefers that new merit badges be hobby or career orientated and given the growth and importance in Data Acquisition in many jobs today I thought it would be a good candidate.

Please let me know if you would be interested.

Thanks

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the inquiry and your interest in PC-based data acquisition.

We'd be happy to supply a couple of DI-145 data acquisition starter kits. In addition we could answer any technical questions that you may have relating to your project and it's incorporation of the DI-145.

Please reply with a shipping address where we can send the DI-145s.
