I am trying to install the DataQ DI-245 device. After installing DATAQ Starter kit, I plugged in the device. It said that it was installing drivers, but then stopped with an error "FT DIBUS USB Driver is not signed" and could not be installed. Any advice on this? Thank you.

This is on a Vista 32 bit computer.

David,

You might try the procedure fir installing the DI-245 on a Windows XP machine at:

Shawn: Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, when I try to to update to the drivers in the download it says the latest driver is already installed. If I try to install a driver from the downloaded driver XP directory manually, by choosing the option "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer", I get an error that it could not load the device driver...etc., and an error 39.

Correction in the original question: this is a Vista 64 bit SP2 computer.

Want to mention that I was succesfully able to install the DI-245 on a Windows 7 pc. However the computer that actually needs the device is a Vista. I suppose I could switch it out with a Vista machine, but it would be so helpful if I could get this DI-245 to work on the computer it is intended for.

David,

You might try un-installing the drivers manually.

To do so, right-click on the DI-245 in the Windows Device Manager under both 'Ports(COM & LPT)' and 'Universal Serial Bus controllers', and choose 'Uninstall'.

With the drivers removed, you can unplug the DI-245, and plug it back in to reinitialize installation of the new drivers.
