Is there a way to limit how many decimal places are used (to the right of the decimal point), in the data that Windaq collects?

David,

What instruments are you using (DI-1xx, DI-7xx)? What gain is selected (Edit>>Channel Settings)?

In answer to your questions:

Model number is DI-245U.

As far as the gain---I cannot see the setting you refer to. I checked the Help files in Windaq for "gain", and it refers to the channel settings also. However in our setup, the channel settings doesn't show any option for checking gain (see attached screen capture). Am I missing a step somewhere? We are using a thermocouple--does that make a difference?

David,

Sorry for the confusion. The DI-245 can be configured for voltage or thermocouple measurements. When configured to acquire voltage, you would see a gain list instead of thermocouple types.

You cannot change the number of decimal places in WinDaq.

Assuming that you're exporting the data to Microsoft Excel, you can change the number of decimal places there (Format Calls>>Numbers).

Thank you for the information. I changed the formatting for the cells to 2 decimal places.
