Is there a way to read a CSV (or some other easily-parsable form) of logged data over the network from a GL820?

Josh,

You can save data to a network drive in CSV format. To do so (in the GL220_820-APS software) click the 'Capture Settings' button and select the 'Data Capture Settings' tab. There you'll find the option to save data in CSV format.

Thanks! Is there a way to do it without running the GL220_820-APS software? Also, does it work if I connect to the GL820 over TCP/IP rather than USB?

To explain a bit more about what I'm trying to do:

The GL820 is connected to our TCP/IP network (but not to USB) and we want to collect its logs periodically in an easily parsable form for later manual analysis. For security reasons, we would prefer to connect IN to the device over the network, rather than have it connect out to an FTP server. That is, we want our automated jobs to initiate a TCP/IP connection to the GL220, grab a CSV, and then close the connection. Does that make sense? Is it do-able?

Neat, downloading gdc files over ftp should work. Is there a document that describes this in more detail? I couldn't find the word "gdc" in
