Inquiry for purchase of datalogger+accelerometers+straingages

Hi, I am suvash, a graduate student in Uconn. Our research team is performing a bridge vibration test on a steel truss bridge. We need to purchase some data loggers, accelerometers and strain gages to measure the bridge response.
I was wondering if the data loggers mentioned in your website "http://www.dataq.com/data-logger/voltage/ " will do the job.
The second question is if the price mentioned there is for only the hardware or the price of software is also included, or if we have to purchase the software seperately.
Are any of your equipments available for rent and if we want to purchase it do you provide any educational discount to us?
Do you have only the dataloggers or are the sensor devices like accelerometers and starin gages also available?
I will highly appreciate if you could answer all these questions.
Regards
Suvash

How many accelerometers and strain gages are needed, and at what rate per channel do you need to sample them? Recording PC-connected with a DI-718B at total rates above 1107 samples/sec requires purchasing WinDaq/HS. Recording with a DI-720 or DI-788 at total rates above 240 samples/sec requires purchasing WinDaq/Pro software. Dataq does not sell the accelerometers and strain gages, but see www.dataq.com/data-acquisition/amplifiers/ for the signal conditioning modules needed to connect them to the systems mentioned above. Kistler 8310B2 accelerometers were use to monitor vibration on the replacement 35W bridge in Minneapolis, which used eight daisy-chained Dataq DI-720/EN systems. See www.dataq.com/blog/tag/data-acquisition-2/.
