How to Use AND/OR Logic in ExcelLink

FacebooktwitterredditlinkedinmailFacebooktwitterredditlinkedinmail

ExcelLink is an extremely useful WinDaq add-on, allowing you to stream data, in real time, into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. There are lots of trigger options in ExcelLink that allow you to stream data only when certain conditions are met.

The “&” and “|” keys allow you to set multiple conditions. For example, you can stream data when any two channels rise above specified levels. Or perhaps you want to stream data only one of those channels falls below a particular level.

In this example (show below), when the voltage on channel 1 rises above 5V AND the voltage on channel 2 rises above 1V, 5 pre and post trigger datapoints will stream into Microsoft Excel.

In this example (shown below), if the signal on channel 1 rises above 8V OR the signal on channel 2 rises above 1V, 3 pre and post trigger datapoints will stream into Microsoft Excel.

Expressions can also be layered.
