Code of Conduct for DATAQ Instruments
1. Introduction
At DATAQ, we are committed to fostering a positive, ethical, and respectful environment for everyone. This Code of Conduct applies to all employees, contractors, and business partners and reflects the values that drive our company forward. As a small U.S.-based manufacturer and developer of data acquisition hardware and software, we recognize that our operational scale limits our direct impact in certain areas such as large-scale manufacturing emissions, mining, and global resource extraction. Nevertheless, we hold ourselves and our business partners to responsible business practices consistent with applicable laws, ethical standards, and industry expectations.
2. Health and Safety
DATAQ provides a safe and healthy work environment appropriate to our operational scale, which primarily includes electronics assembly, calibration, testing, and office activities.
2.1 Workplace Safety
We implement reasonable safeguards to minimize risks such as electrical hazards; soldering and assembly equipment risks; slip, trip, and fall hazards.
2.2 Emergency Preparedness
Facilities maintain fire protection, evacuation procedures, and emergency contacts as required by local regulations.
2.3 Occupational Injury and Illness
Incidents are documented, investigated, and corrective actions implemented where appropriate.
2.4 Respect for Others
We treat colleagues, clients, and partners with respect, professionalism, and fairness. Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
3. Reporting Concerns
Employees, partners, and customers are encouraged to report concerns related to legal violations, ethical misconduct, workplace safety, and discrimination or harassment.
Reports may be made to management or Human Resources without fear of retaliation.

6. Environmental Responsibility
As a small-scale U.S. designer and manufacturer, DATAQ’s environmental impact is limited compared to heavy industry. 6.1 Regulatory Compliance
We comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations, including those related to electronic waste disposal, hazardous material handling (e.g., solder, cleaning agents), and battery disposal.

6.3 Pollution Prevention
Our operations generate minimal emissions. We do not engage in activities involving industrial air pollution, industrial wastewater discharge, or large-scale greenhouse gas emissions.
6.4 Supply Chain Considerations
While we do not directly engage in mining or raw material extraction, we expect suppliers to comply with applicable environmental and conflict-mineral regulations where required by law.

Given our size and position in the electronics supply chain, DATAQ relies on third-party component manufacturers and distributors. We adhere to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) and ensure that no goods, services, or materials sourced or produced by forced labor are part of our supply chain.
