The Dashboard Help Menu provides a link to View Help online, view hardware Device Info, Unlock Device for additional software, Open Data File Location, Create a log file for troubleshooting, and view the About WinDaq Dashboard software information.

View Help
View Help for the WinDaq Dashboard online. No internet connection? Hover your mouse over the file menu you want help with and click F1.
Device Info
View the Model, Serial Number, Hardware Revision, Firmware Revision, and Calibration Date for your hardware.
Unlock Device
Unlock hardware for additional purchased software such as WinDaq/Unlock, WinDaq/ExcelLink, and WinDaq/UtilityPack. If you purchase the software at the same time as the hardware the hardware is already unlocked, but if you purchase software for a device you already own you will need to enter Product ID from the Dashboard by going to Help >> Unlock Device. Once you have unlocked your device it is unlocked permanently even if you move it to a new PC.
Open Data File Location
View the default location where WinDaq Files will be recorded.
Create log file
The majority of the time, technicians and engineers at DATAQ Instruments can resolve any communication issue that you may have with your contemporary DATAQ data logger (i.e. DI-1100, DI-2108, DI-4×08, etc.), in short order. Sometime, however, more advanced troubleshooting techniques are required.
