Built natively into the WinDaq Direct web portal, this advanced Rule Engine and Finite State Machine (FSM) gives your DATAQ hardware the brains of an automated controller—directly from your web browser.
In the past, running conditional tests required manually staring at a scrolling waveform or writing complex scripts in languages like Python or LabVIEW. With the WinDaq Direct Sequencer, engineers and technicians can easily automate mechanical, environmental, and life-cycle tests using a visual logic builder.
Because the engine processes mathematical conditions on the live data stream before it even hits your hard drive, it can react to anomalies, cycle external hardware via Digital I/O, and intelligently gate data logging. 1. Thermal Soak & Environmental Chamber Testing
The Problem: An engineer needs to log data only when a motor reaches its operating temperature, record for a 30-minute soak period, and safely shut down the test.
The Sequence:
Step 1: Wait until CH1 (Thermocouple) > 85.0°C.
Step 2: Action: Resume Data Logging. Action: Delay Timer (1800 seconds).
Step 3: Action: Set DIO Bit 0 (Cooling Fan Relay) to High. Action: Pause Data Logging. End Test.
2. Power Quality Monitoring
The Problem: Monitoring a power line to ensure the RMS voltage stays within safe operating limits, triggering an alarm if it drops.
The Sequence:
Step 1: Monitor the AC signal using math: RMS(CH1) < 110.0.
Step 2: Action: Set DIO Bit 2 (Audible Alarm) to High. Action: Resume Data Logging. Action: Delay Timer (10 seconds).
Step 3: Action: Set DIO Bit 2 to Low. Action: Jump back to Step 1.
