Function

Used to select a specific waveform display format. WinDaq Acquisition supports 11 different display formats. The particular display format you choose for any given application will be defined by a number of variables, but perhaps the most important of these is choosing a format that you feel most comfortable viewing. It is important to note that any display format may be enabled at any time during data acquisition without affecting the information stored to disk. Display format changes only affect the way you view waveforms on the computer’s monitor.

The choice of a given display format revolves around the timing relationship of your input signals. Given two waveforms of interest, you may wish to choose an overlapping display format (e.g., format two) that will allow you to closely examine their relationship in both the time and amplitude domains. On the other hand, a non-overlapping format (such as format three or five) may be used to isolate each waveform’s transition within a defined area.

The following chart provides a list of each display format available.
