Note: The DataqSerial control is now obsolete and will no longer be supported. The DataqSDK control should now be used with serial devices. Some serial port devices may not work with DataqSerial.

Many situations demand that a data acquisition program be built from the ground up. As such, you require access to the most basic elements of data acquisition hardware. This control provides that access. In contrast, the WinDaq control relieves you of general data acquisition housekeeping and delivers scaled waveform data to your application.

DataqSerial may be used with some Dataq Instruments’ hardware that support a serial (COM port) interface, including the DI-150/151/190/194/195 series devices (and not the DI-145/149/148/155/158/710/715). Use the DataqSDK control to access and manipulate all supported Dataq Instruments’ hardware products.

DataqSerial features include:

• Continuous access to acquired data.
• Sample rate, COM port and acquired channel definitions.
• Access to acquired data using either burst or streaming methods.
