DI - 149

Dear Sir

We are using a data logger (DI- 149) to record the conductivity and PH readings. I have perchased the product (Windaq/XL-EMAIL) to import the readings to excel directly. But all along I have been facing a problem, the readings which are being recorded in excel are different from the actual readings. I have changed the desired reading in the set off, then it records actual reading for some time and gradually the difference shows. I have calibrated many times but it keeps changing.

so please advise me to counter this

Thanks & regards,

Hi Vijay,

Please clarify. You're saying that the values in WinDaq remain constant (and correct) while the values streaming to the Excel spreadsheet begin to drift?

What revision of WinDaq/XL are you using (click the blue circle with the "i" inside of it for revision information)?

Hi, we have a pH controller which measures and displays the pH. This controller provides 4-20mA output signal, we have connected 4-20mA output to DI-149 to record the measured readings on day to day basis. We are able to record in windaq/XL, but the readings we are seeing in the recording are different from the actual readings we see in our pH controller display. Windaq and windaq/XL readings are same but these are false readings. Now I want record the exact readings which are displayed in our controller. These readings varies every minute... I want to record as it is. Now we are getting a reading in every 10 seconds in XL spread sheet. I want only one reading every minute, is it possible. Please advise.. Thank you

Vijay,

Please reply with a calibrated data (.wdq) file attached.

Thanks,

Actually I don't have any such data.. We just enter the desired value in the set off option. I don't know whether that is right procedure. What is the calibration procedure? Please advise

Vijay,

You'll find a multimedia presentation on calibration (scaling to display engineering units) at:

http://www.dataq.com/multimedia/windaq-fast-start/eu-settings/index.html

The calibration should be performed prior to exporting data to Microsoft Excel.
