The Configure Auto-record command allows you to create recording
settings for a single device that will automatically be called and run
when the Start WinDaq button is
clicked.
Select the desired device
Click on the drop down commands
and select Configure Auto-record.
Use the Browse
button to the right of the File Name
text box to designate a file name and location for your recorded data.
Enter the amount of time to record
in days, hours, minutes, and seconds in DD(days):HH(hours):MM(minutes):SS(seconds)
format in the Time to Record text
box. 1:00 designates one minute, zero seconds.
If you would like to use a Setup
File (a previously recorded file) click the Browse
button to the right of the Setup File
Name text box and select the desired setup file. Check the Use Setup File checkbox. All data acquisition
parameters from the selected setup file (e.g., number of channels, channel
type, scaling constants, engineering units, display format, compression,
display mode, gain, etc.) are ported from the previously recorded file
and used to record the new data file.
Check the Auto
Record checkbox to enable the settings.
Click the OK
button. These settings are now saved for that device.
Select the device then click
the Start WinDaq button to record
data based on the settings saved in the Configure Auto-record dialog.
To turn off auto-record, access the Configure Auto-record
dialog and un-check the Auto Record checkbox. Configure Auto Record is
device dependant (i.e., you may save different settings for each device).
