DI-730 Series Data Acquisition SystemsFeatures 1000V input-to-input and channel-to-channel Isolation
Product Highlights Product Highlights
The DI-730 Series is a family of instruments that offers 14-bit, 150kHz waveform recording capability. They communicate through your PC's parallel port in EPP, bi-directional, or standard mode. Other optional communication interfaces include USB and Ethernet. Use the DI-730 for wide dynamic range measurements, especially those involving AC or DC electric motors. Examples include paper, aluminum, and steel mills, high speed trains, and rail and sea-going locomotion. The high sample rate, exceptional isolation, and CMR characteristics of the DI-730 make it very well suited for the maintenance and troubleshooting of DC drive systems. Other applications include motor/generator RPM measurements, supply voltage and current measurements, and field current measurements from drive-roll, braking, and take-up motors. Printer Port, USB, or Ethernet InterfaceDI-730 instruments are available with printer port, Ethernet, and universal serial bus (USB) communication interfaces. All instruments have a 25-pin male printer port connector for EPP, bi-directional, or standard mode parallel port communication with your PC. Options add Ethernet communication capability with a 10base-T Ethernet connector, or a USB port for universal serial bus communication. The optional communication interfaces cannot be used concurrently with the printer port. Distributed and Synchronous Ethernet Data AcquisitionDaisy chain multiple DI-730-ENs, DI-720-ENs, and/or DI-722-ENs for a fully synchronous distributed Ethernet Data Acquisition System. DI-730 Offers Isolation, Wide Dynamic Measurement RangeThe 8-channel DI-730 Series features a measurement range of ±10mV to ±1000VDC (or peak AC) over six ranges with ±1000V channel-to-channel and input-to-output isolation. Replace entire racks of isolation amps, high & low voltage amps, and data acquisition subsystems with one, portable, lightweight, 9 × 7 × 1½ inch instrument. Channel-to-channel isolation protects delicate control circuits, computer equipment, and personnel from high common mode voltages. DI-730 Boasts An Award-Winning DesignThe DI-730 is widely regarded as one of the most significant PC-based data acquisition developments for 1998 and 1999. It has won the IAN's Editor's Choice Award, Test and Measurement World's Best in Test Award, I&CS's Editor's Choice Award, and was chosen as one of EDN's Hot 100 Products of 1998. 50kHz Burst Sampling A/DConnect to DC or near DC signals like temperature, generator-based RPM, or other slow process variables. Sample rates well into the sub-Hertz range are possible. Use sample rates as high as 150,000 Hz for high speed applications such as modulated DC drives and other AC waveform situations. High Resolution CapabilityDI-730 instruments apply 16- and 14-bits of resolution (respectively) to your measurement task. Easy to Connect and UseAll instruments connect in seconds to your PC's parallel port, Ethernet connector, or USB port using the supplied cable. The DI-730 Series has banana jacks for easy signal connection. Or use the DI-205, DI-705, DI-706, or CABL-4 signal interface options, which provide alternate methods for signal connection. Expansion FlexibilityExpand the analog channel capacity of DI-730 Series instruments now or anytime in the future with our DI-725, a 32-channel analog input expander backpack. Or choose our DI-75B, an eight-channel, signal conditioned analog input backpack that allows the DI-730 to make any conceivable industrial measurement with full isolation. If using the Ethernet interface, string multiple DI-730-ENs together to add more channels, or expand with DI-720-ENs and/or DI-722-ENs to form a distributed synchronous ethernet data acquisition unit. Includes WinDaq SoftwareBe up and running minutes out of the box with WinDaq acquisition and playback software. WinDaq/Lite software is included free with the purchase of every DI-730 instrument. WinDaq/Lite operates at a maximum throughput recording rate of 240 Hz with a DI-730 Instrument. Purchase WinDaq/Pro or WinDaq/Pro+ to record at the full sample rate. See the differences between all 3 versions of WinDaq Acquisition Software. However, if you're interested in WinDaq/Pro+, or if you just want a great deal, we have a great money-saving offer for you. WinDaq Waveform Browser, our playback and analysis software for Windows, is distributed free with WinDaq/Lite and is included free with every WinDaq/Pro or WinDaq/Pro+ purchase. It is also available for download free-of-charge from this Web site. Use it to review, measure, compare, and analyze the waveform file after it has been recorded by WinDaq acquisition software. WinDaq software products support up to 14 bits of measurement resolution. Ordering Information, Models, and Prices
