The Device List Window provides information regarding all installed DI-72x, DI-730, and DI-78x Ethernet Instruments. Devices are sectioned off in groups based on installation. Each Synced Group will have its own category and will be named based on the first device in the group. All Unsynced units will display in the Unsynced devices group.
The Device List Window provides the following information for all installed devices: Device description; Model number; Status; IP Address; and MAC Address (use the scroll bar under the Device List if all of the information is not showing).
The default device description is the MAC address of the device. Use the Change Description drop down command to change the device description.
The model number shown here should be the same as the model number displayed on the silver sticker located on the bottom of the device.
Every device installed should show status as "Available" indicating the device can be used to acquire data. A "Busy" status indicates the device cannot be accessed by WinDaq. See Status for more information.
The IP address of the device may be changed using the Change IP Address drop down command. In certain situations it is necessary to change the IP address of the device. See Change IP Address for more information.
The MAC (Media Access Control) address is your instrument's unique hardware number. This number is permanent and unique to the instrument and cannot be changed.
